A 300yr old farmhouse with a damp problem, we excavated 40 tonnes of soil banked against the house walls and created a finely coursed retaining wall using reclaimed Cotswold stone from site.

The rainwater drainage system was rebuilt and resurfaced with tumbled ‘purple hue’ block pavers. We installed a simple and elegant oiled oak handrail, adjacent to the broad new set of double width steps, and topped the walling with characterful pennant stone flags.

Project cost circa £16k
