1930s Extension

Our clients had lived in their 1930s Semi-detached house for 5 years and were in desperate need of a new kitchen, downstairs toilet and utility room. They contacted Cotswold Design looking for company that could take them from design to completion. Working closely with the clients we provided 3 concepts, enabling them to visualise the possibilities for developing their house. The final plan featured a sizable rear extension, doubling the kitchens footprint, a side extension housing a generous utility and a downstairs toilet. With the plans submitted our architect carefully monitored the applications progress and provided a smooth transition through to approval for our clients.

The house was transformed by the new open plan kitchen, living and dining space; presenting incredible ceiling heights, fulfilling and exceeding our clients’ wish list with a soft seating TV area and a paved terrace, linking their garden into their home. With our thorough approach, the plumbing and heating systems were almost entirely rebuilt, ensuring our clients were protected from further outlay on the house for years to come.

Features - Rear and side extensions, open plan living space, structural wall removal, kitchen relocation, utility room, downstairs toilet, plumbing and electrical overhaul, bespoke larder, paved terrace, boiler relocation, roof works, Velux windows, french doors, utility and dining space.

“We’re so happy with the result! A fantastic open plan kitchen, dining and living space, as well as a utility room and downstairs loo. It's breathed new life into our house and given us a great space for entertaining friends and family. The work was also completed on time and in budget! Two things pretty much unheard of in the building industry!” – Louise & Roger
